Treatments

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the oldest and most commonly used alternative medical treatments in the world. It injures the body to stimulate healing by inserting and manipulating thin sterile stainless steel needles into the superficial skin, subcutaneous tissue, and muscles of the body at particular points along the meridians. This allows for the normal flow of Qi (TCM’s version of Oxygen) associated with neural transmission throughout the body and restores health to the mind and body.

Chinese Herbs

Chinese herbal medicine is an integral part of my treatment approach. I use a combination of Chinese herbs to support the body’s natural healing processes, addressing specific health issues caused by an imbalance in the body, and promoting long term wellness. As an experienced practitioner, I carefully select herbal formulas and customize them to meet the unique needs of each patient ensuing safe and effective treatment by tongue evaluation and diagnosis.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is another modality I offer to enhance healing and relieve pain. By creating suction on the skin, cupping helps to increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, and promote relaxation. Cupping is a treatment that is beneficial for various musculoskeletal conditions providing relief and supporting the body’s natural recovery mechanisms.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion treats and prevents diseases by heating points on certain areas of the body by use of moxa-wool. Moxibustion warms up the meridians (nerve channels; nerve pathways) and promotes blood circulation.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese healing technique used to address pain and tension in the body. This therapy includes scraping the skin to promote blood circulation, reduce inflammation, and facilitate healing. Acupressure, Tui Na (Massage), Bodywork

In addition to specialized therapies, I offer acupressure, Tui Na (massage), and bodywork to address physical discomfort, improve mobility, and support overall wellness.  These modalities are tailored to the individual needs of the patient, and they provide a holistic approach to healing as well as enhancing athletic perfomance.

Reflexology

Reflexology is acupressure applied to specific points along the feet. This manual therapy triggers relaxation which in turn lowers stress levels and reduces muscle tension. Reflexology also increases blood flow (circulation) throughout the body.

Auricular Therapy

Auricular therapy has been used to diagnose, treat, and prevent various illness and diseases for more than 2,000 years in China. Ear acupressure is applied over specific points of the ear to stimulate the art of healing. The pressure applied to the specific points over the ear stimulates the nerve connections between the ear and the central nervous system thereby communicating powerful healing messages to the organ or system where the problem manifested initially.
